Bush/McCain Lockstep Ad
March 18, 2008
This is a splice spot, that shows how McCain and Bush have the exact same view point on the war. Very simple. If you don’t want another Bush, don’t put McCain in office. So simple a baby could understand it. Republicans can watch this ad and say, “Hell yeah, the terrorists hate our freedom. I love McCain.” The Democrats can say, “Oh dear, we’ve got to put an end to this and bring our sons and daughters home.” Does it change minds, or incite action? Nope. Just the same message we always hear. Republicans are Republicans. Democrats are Democrats. You choose.
It would amaze me to see some actual creative messaging that could change a mind. Good luck with that.

a devils advocate response. I agree that we do not need another bush in the white house, which mccain would do a fantastic job of doing with the war. However, many “bush” republicans view mccain as a more liberal republican than and true conservative republican. No doubt, I don’t want to see him as president…the country needs a break from the republican party. check out the Monday edition of the Daily Show, has a great video of bush talking about what has happended while he was in office, makes you realize how bad it really has been. Anyway, in order for life to go back to normal and there be a true middle class, the republicans must get out of the white house. Thanks, people who could have stopped this 4 years ago when they voted for Nader in Florida.
I agree, Bolla, McCain is a more liberal Republican than most, but as long as phrases like, “bomb bomb bomb Iran,” come out of that grown man’s mouth like war is a game or joke, I can’t take him too seriously. Or maybe I don’t want to. Besides, he’s probably only a couple years from involuntarily crapping himself. If there was a bracket or office pool for the election, I’d pick Obama to go all the way. Hell, I’m buying a t-shirt.
As for Nader followers. Voting for a third party in a bipartisan dominated system seems like a waste to me. Sometimes choosing between the lesser of two evils is the best way to go. Nader will never win, and he just draws votes away from the people that can actually make a change.
I think Nader is being paid by the republicans to take votes from the democratic people. Pretty smart really, but Nader is going to hell for it.
Interesting. On the other hand, he’s taken issue with Bush’s failures post-Katrina, and expressed a desire to make himself the candidate of everyone..
Good post. It popped up as a related post on one of mine: http://twiceinfinity.wordpress.com/2008/04/25/mccain-shows-his-independence/
